12 - 18 Year Olds

The First Aid Focus High School Course aims to equip teens and pre-teens with the first aid skills required when faced with a medical emergency. Students in years 7 to 12 are invited to participate in this fun and informative course which utilises hands-on techniques and demonstrations, as well as video testimonials. CPR training manikins can also be included in the program, which allows students to familiarise themselves with the concept of CPR and its practical application.

Topics covered in the course include:

  • Dealing with an unconscious casualty
  • Clearing a blocked airway
  • CPR
  • Managing a bleed
  • Treating burns

The training sessions run for 80 minutes and can be delivered to multiple classes, a whole year group or even the entire school.

Students will receive a certificate of completion and other helpful first aid information.
